Danger:
Fire and electric shock
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:
- live parts are accessible when the lamp is replaced,
- the fixing of the cover, which is opened for lamp replacement, is not sufficient,
- the internal wiring for the lamp holders has a cross-section that is less than required;
and a risk of fire because:
- the plastic material which retains current-carrying parts in position is not sufficiently fire resistant.
The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
Action Taken:
Withdrawal from the market and recall from consumers ordered by the authorities.
