The product poses a risk of burns since the quantity of CO in the air and water vapour free combustion products was 0.4%, above the maximum requirement of 0.2%. The following information required by the standard is missing both on the appliance and in the instructions for use: gas type, gas pressure, appliance category and application of the specified gas container, which could lead respectively to incomplete combustion, CO production and gas leakage. The product does not comply with the Gas Appliances Directive 90/396/EEC and the relevant European standard EN 521.
Action Taken:
Voluntary stop of sales, withdrawal from the market and recall from consumers by the distributor.
