Item Description:

HP Pavilion: dv2000, dv2500. dv2700, dv6000, dv6500, dv6700, dv9000, dv9500, dv9700, dx6000, dx6500 and dx6700
Compaq Presario: A900, C700, F500, F700, V3000, V3500, V3700, V6000, V6500 and V6700
HP Compaq: 6510b, 6515b, 6710b, 6710s, 6715b, 6715s and 6720s
HP: G6000 and G7000
The notebook computers themselves are not subject to the recall action.
All affected packs will have a CT coding that includes the following sequences where ^ can be any letter A-Z or number 0-9: 62940^^AXV ^^^^ 65000^^B5V^^^^ 65033^^B7U^^^^, 65033^^B7V ^^^^, 65033BGU^^^^ 65035^^B7U^^^^, 65035^^B7V^^^^, 65035^^BGU^^^^, 65035BGV^^^^ 67059^^V8U^^^^, 67059^^V8V^^^^ Not all packs that include one of these sequences is subject to the recall. Verification of the complete code by HP is required.
Description: There are four different battery pack designs, each of which is compatible with a subset of the listed notebook computers. The date code is embedded in a code printed on an adhesive label affixed to the inner surface of the battery pack. They are black and rectangular in appearance with safety markings and labelling.
