Electric shock / fire
The product poses a risk of electric shock and fire because:
- the dimensions of the built-in plug do not comply with the relevant standards;
- the cross-sectional area of the core of the internal wiring is less then required and in case of a short circuit the internal wires may overheat;
- the protective bulb cover, serving as additional insulation, can be removed by hand during charging, making live parts accessible.
The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
Action Taken:
Withdrawal from the market and recall from consumers ordered by the authorities.
