The product poses a risk of electric shock because: - there is insufficient protection against accidental contact with the basic insulation and with the metal parts that are separated from the active parts by basic insulation only; - it does not pass the dielectric strength test between active parts and accessible metal parts; - the housing of the appliance does not have the corresponding level of protection against damp; - the appliance does not withstand the humidity conditions liable to occur in normal use; - it does not pass the electric strength test or the subsequent dielectric strength test; - the sleeves used as additional insulation are not securely held in position; - welds are used to connect the external conductors so that the weld alone holds it in position.
The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
