- the insulation of the supply cord is inadequate
- the supply cord has unsuitably sized conductors;
- the supply cord is poorly connected;
- the non-UK plug is not fitted with a conversion plug.
The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60335 and the relevant national standard BS1363.
Action Taken:
Voluntary stop of sales by the importer.
